This training focuses on motor control and protection systems used in industrial automation, combining Siemens SIMOCODE and ABB Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) for a practical, real-world learning experience.
Participants will learn how to configure and integrate SIMOCODE motor management systems for protection, monitoring, and control of motors, including communication with PLCs. The course also covers ABB VSD setup and operation, including parameter configuration, speed control, and drive integration into automated processes.
Emphasis is placed on how motors are controlled in industry, including start/stop control, fault handling, communication, and troubleshooting of both SIMOCODE and VSD systems within a PLC-controlled environment.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to confidently configure, control, and troubleshoot motor systems, and understand how drives and motor management systems are integrated into modern automation systems.
